I was charged unexpectedly — what happened?

If you see an unexpected charge from Empowered, here are the most common reasons:

Auto-renewal

Your trial period ended and your subscription automatically renewed. The renewal date and amount are included in the confirmation email you received when you signed up. To avoid renewal charges, subscriptions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Trial charge

You were charged for the trial period when you first signed up. This is a separate, smaller charge (for example, $7.99) from any renewal charge.
