With your Shopify shop connected, discount rewards no longer need a spreadsheet of codes. When your campaign goes live, ENDVR creates one discount in your own shop that holds the rules, plus one unique code for each associate who unlocks the reward. You don't need to create anything in Shopify yourself!
đ First time? Connect your shop: How to Connect Your Shopify Shop to ENDVR
đ¤ Who can do this
Brand owners and admins set up rewards, add codes, go live with fewer codes, and recreate or restore a discount. Other brand members can see everything but can't change it.
đˇď¸ How to set up a Shopify discount reward
In the Campaign Builder, click Add Reward and choose Discount.
Step 1 - Title and discount
Give the reward a title and enter the Percentage discount (1 to 100%).
Step 2 - Choose how the codes are created
Under Codes, select Generate in Shopify. If you'd rather upload your own, Upload Codes is still available.
Step 3 - Pick the shop, number of codes and prefix
Shopify shop: if you've connected more than one shop, choose which one creates the codes.
Number of codes: how many codes to create. You can add more any time while the campaign is live.
Code prefix: for example SPRING26. Codes look like SPRING26-K7QM-3XPA-9RTD, and each one is unique to the associate who unlocks it.
The form tells you where the codes will be created, for example "1,500 codes will be created in your shop when your campaign goes live, not before."
Step 4 - Set the discount rules
These rules are saved on the discount in your Shopify shop and apply to every code of this reward.
Applies to: all products, specific collections (products added to a collection later are included), or specific products (up to 100 products and variants, picked from your Product Catalog).
Minimum purchase: none, a minimum amount, or a minimum quantity.
Uses per code: how many orders one code can be used on.
What the discount can combine with, and the fine print.
You'll set when the codes stop working when you launch.
Step 5 - Choose where the link takes associates
Pick Shop home page, A collection or A product from your synced catalog. The default follows your discount (its first collection or product). The preview shows the page, which opens with the associate's code already applied.
Step 6 - Save the reward
Saving only checks the reward against Shopify and your catalog. Nothing is created in your shop until the campaign goes live. Drafts, scheduled, under-review and rejected campaigns never create anything in your shop.
đ What happens when your campaign goes live
Before launch, when ENDVR approves your campaign, and again at go-live, ENDVR re-checks your shop: it's still connected, permissions are granted, and the products you selected are still active. If a check fails, you'll see why and a one-click fix (usually Reconnect Shopify), and Launch stays disabled until it's fixed.
The campaign overview shows Preparing codes: "associates see it once all codes are ready." Creating 3,000 codes takes about 1 to 3 minutes.
When the last batch is confirmed, it shows Ready ¡ Visible to associates since⌠and the app announces the campaign.
A scheduled campaign stays "coming soon" in the app until its codes are ready.
Associates never see a reward whose code doesn't exist yet. Once the campaign is visible, it stays visible: adding codes, retrying or recreating the discount never hides it again.
Preparing codes:
Ready:
â ď¸ If some codes weren't created
If some codes fail before the campaign becomes visible, it stays hidden from associates and you'll see "Hidden from associates until the missing codes are created." You have two options:
Retry Missing Codes: ENDVR tries again for the missing codes only.
Go live with N codes: release the campaign now with the codes that exist. You'll be asked to confirm how many associates can still get one, and the missing codes stay in Retry Missing Codes.
âď¸ Managing a live reward
Add Codes: generate more codes with the same rules. They join as Shopify confirms.
Edit the reward: editing a live reward updates the discount in Shopify, so the change applies to every code, including ones already handed out. ENDVR asks first ("Update all 1,500 codes?"). Orders already placed with a code don't change, and associates see the new rules in the app right away.
End the campaign early: choose whether codes already held keep working until their stop date (the default) or stop now.
đ§ If the discount changes in Shopify
ENDVR watches the discount in your shop and tells you if it no longer matches the reward:
The discount was deleted in Shopify: the reward card turns red and nothing more is handed out. Click Recreate Discount to create new codes and bring back codes nobody used.
The discount was edited in Shopify: you'll see a warning listing the change, for example the percentage going from 30% to 25%. Choose Keep Shopify's Version or Restore ENDVR Rules so checkout matches what associates were promised.
đ See which codes were used and what they sold
Open your campaign and go to the Rewards tab to see, for each associate, the code, whether it was Redeemed or Unredeemed, the order link and the order value. Use the Code Status filter to narrow the list. The Insights tab has a Discount Codes section with codes unlocked, codes redeemed, the redemption rate and sales, by store group.
Order value is the order subtotal after discounts and refunds, before tax and shipping. Refunds lower it, and a cancellation reverses the redemption.
Amounts in different currencies are never added together.
Unused codes are deleted from Shopify 30 days after they stop working.
