Available Products:

LightReach offers both PPAs and Leases (TPO), availability is dependent on state and utility.

Visit: https://help.palmetto.finance/en/articles/8500574-active-utilities for a list of accepted LightReach Utilities

Creating a proposal: must be in a region and utility supported by Palmetto.

Battery Pricing Selection

You might see multiple pricing options available. If that happens, you'll get a dropdown in the Proposal view where you can choose which pricing method to use. If you don't see the dropdown, it means there's only one pricing option available for that utility and account. The system will automatically use the best option.

You can select:

  • SelfC (kWh Rate) - prices based on energy usage

  • SelfC Cost (Raw Cost) - flat cost pricing

  • Backup Battery (Raw Cost) - flat cost for backup systems

  • Backup Battery kWh (kWh Rate) - usage-based pricing for backup

The customer's LightReach account is created when LightReach is selected as the finance method when creating a proposal.

The LightReach quote and contract creation occurs on finalization.

LightReach and installers will renegotiate terms from time to time that may change the available rates, products, adders, etc. If a proposal is created but not finalized prior to price negotiations, a pop-up will show, instructing the user to refresh pricing before finalization. This ensures that rates seen in Enerflo match what is valid in LightReach's portal.

LightReach Adder-Specific Pricing

One of the stipulations for approving a customer for TPO products is that the deal has to save the customer money. When adders are included in the deal, it increases the overall cost of the deal. LightReach is able to work around this issue by offering increased Rates when certain adders are selected.

Adders with LightReach are not adders in the sense of additional equipment, but rather additional flags for the proposal. For example, an adder that has the improvement type set as electrical upgrade, will unlock higher rates.

If higher rates are not showing, check that the adders have been configured correctly and have the 'electrical upgrade' type selected in the adder settings.

Deal Requirements

As of 3/1/26, LightReach is implementing several new requirements. These include:

  1. Full utility bills will be required. Accounts with unpaid utility bills will be stipulated.

  2. System sizes will be capped at 150% of offset, determined by the required utility bill.

  3. Customers on California's CARE or LMI (Low/Middle Income) Rate Plans will only be accepted at the lowest rate tier.
