Service Fee: Viewing Your Cost & Paying It

As a commissioner running a Private (Self-Managed) contest, you're responsible for paying the one-time service fee on Splash Sports. This fee lets you use the platform's tools to manage your contest. Here's how to check what you'll owe, and how to pay it.

Viewing Your Service Fee Cost

Before your contest begins, you can review the total cost using the built-in pricing calculator:

  1. Go to your Commissioner Console

  2. Select Pay Contest Fee

  3. Locate the Pricing Calculator

  4. Enter the number of entries for your contest

The calculator will automatically display the total service fee based on your entry count. Pricing may scale depending on entry volume (tiered structure), and the calculator will break down the cost per entry tier along with your total amount due.

We recommend reviewing this before your contest begins so you know exactly what to expect and can plan accordingly.

Paying Your Service Fee

When you're ready to pay:

  1. Go to your Commissioner Console

  2. Select Pay Contest Fee

  3. Follow the prompts to complete your payment (only debit/credit cards are accepted)

What Happens If I Don't Pay the Fee?

If the service fee isn't paid by the required deadline:

  • Your contest may be locked

  • Members may not be able to view standings or make picks

  • Full contest functionality will be restricted until payment is completed

Important Notes

  • The service fee applies only to the commissioner

  • Members do not pay anything on Splash Sports for Self-Managed contests

  • All entry fees and payouts between you and your members are handled outside of the platform
