To combine Days 7 and 8:
Open the Commissioner Console
Navigate to Contest Settings
Select Pick and Scoring Settings
Enable the option to combine Days 7 & 8
What the Combine Days 7 & 8 Option Does
The Combine Days 7 & 8 option allows commissioners to merge the Round of 8 (Days 7 and 8) into a single slate. Instead of treating these days separately, all games across both days are grouped together.
How Combined Days Work
When this option is enabled:
Entrants must make two total picks across Days 7 and 8
Picks can come from any games within the combined slate
All Elite Eight matchups are available at once
Entrants can choose how to use their two picks: one team from Day 7 and one from Day 8, both from Day 7, or both from Day 8. This added flexibility gives entrants more control over their strategy.
Why Combine Days 7 & 8?
In the Elite Eight, strong teams often face each other and key matchups may occur on the same day. Without combining, you could only pick one of two strong teams on the same day; with combined days, you can select both. This helps avoid situations where scheduling forces you to eliminate a strong team prematurely.
Important Requirement
This option is only available when the Pick Requirement is set to One Pick Per Day (10 days total).
It is not available for One Pick Per Round (6 rounds total). If your contest uses Pick Per Round, the combine option will not appear.
