The Format Settings section allows commissioners to define how picks are made and how scoring works in their NHL Pick'em contest. This is one of the most important settings, as it determines the overall gameplay experience.
How to Access
Go to Commissioner Console
Select Edit Contest Settings
Open Format Settings
Choose your preferred Contest Format
Click Submit Changes to save
Available Format Options
Standard - Simply Pick Teams
Participants pick winners for each game
Every correct pick is worth the same amount
Best for simple, easy-to-run contests
Best Bet - Pick Teams and Best Bet(s)
Participants select a "best bet" each week
Best bets may carry additional weight or points
Adds a layer of strategy without being too complex
Confidence - Pick Teams and Assign Confidence Points
Participants assign confidence levels to each pick
Higher confidence picks earn more points
Most strategic and competitive format
Important Notes
Format changes may be restricted after the contest starts
Some updates may only apply to future weeks
Changing formats mid-season may impact scoring consistency
