What Contest Formats Are Available for NHL (Entertainment-Only)?

Splash Sports offers two main Self-Managed (Entertainment-Only) contest formats for NHL. These formats allow commissioners to run contests using Splash tools while managing payments and payouts outside of the platform.

Available NHL EO Contest Formats

NHL Pick’em

  • Participants select winners for scheduled NHL games each week

  • Points are awarded based on correct picks

  • Multiple format options available:

    • Standard (equal points per pick)

    • Best Bets (highlight a top pick)

    • Confidence Points (assign weighted picks)

Best for:
Groups that want a weekly, ongoing contest with consistent engagement throughout the season.

NHL Team Survivor

  • Participants pick one team to win each slate (day or week)

  • If the selected team wins, they advance

  • If the team loses, ties, or no pick is made, the entrant is eliminated

  • Typically, teams can only be used once (based on settings)

  • Last remaining entrant wins

Best for:
Groups looking for a knockout-style contest with increasing difficulty each round.
