Standard | Straightforward: correct picks earn points (1 point per pick by default, or more if the commissioner uses weighted scoring / game point values). |
Confidence | Entrants rank every pick from most to least confident. Each correct pick scores its assigned rank value — a correctly-picked #16 pick earns 16 points, while a correctly-picked #1 pick earns 1. Missed picks consume the entrant's highest (or lowest, commissioner's choice) remaining values first. |
Best Pick (Standard add-on) | Same base scoring as Standard, plus entrants designate one or more "Best Picks" each week. A correct Best Pick earns bonus points on top of its normal value. |
Summary: Standard is simple point-per-win scoring. Confidence turns picks into a ranked risk/reward game. Best Pick adds a bonus layer on top of Standard for players who want to call their shot. Confidence and Best Pick are mutually exclusive — a contest runs one or the other, never both.
