Contest Basics
Setting | What It Does | Default | Notes |
League / Sport Mode | Which league(s) are eligible for the picksheet. | College only (this guide's scope) | Options: NFL only; College only; NFL + College combined. Locked once the contest starts. |
Contest Name / Description / Pool Logo | Custom name (required), optional description, optional logo. | Blank | Description up to 500 characters. Editable any time. |
Maximum Entries Per Entrant | Cap on entries per player. | 1 | Commissioner can raise to any whole number — raise-only once live. |
Close Entries Immediately | Instantly closes the contest to new players. | Off | This is the intended way to "cap" a pool — there is no max-entrants number. |
Hide Future Picks From Commissioner | Whether the commissioner can see/edit members' future picks. | On | On: commissioner sees entries exactly as members do (only picks past deadline). Off: commissioner can see and edit everything. Editable any time. |
Set Your Schedule — Start Week / End Week
What it does: First and last week of the contest.
Default: Week 1 → National Championship
Options: CFB Weeks 1–14 plus postseason through the National Championship. Setting the End Week into the postseason is how a contest extends into the playoffs.
Notes: Editable until the contest starts.
Entry Deadline
What it does: Cutoff for accepting new entries.
Default: Off (no deadline)
Options: Off; or any date/time before the first slate's last kickoff
Notes: With no deadline, late joiners inherit missed results. Editable until the contest starts.
Pick Deadline
What it does: When the weekly picksheet locks.
Default: Default weekly deadline
Options:
Default (recommended)
First game time each week
Last game time each week
Custom — one day-of-week + time applied to every week (e.g., Saturdays 12:00 PM ET)
Notes: Editable for the next slate after the contest starts. Also controls pick visibility.
Summary: League/Sport Mode is the one true lock-in here — get it right before the contest starts. Everything else stays adjustable, though the schedule itself is locked once the season begins. Hide Future Picks is worth flagging to commissioners directly — leaving it Off gives them full visibility and edit access into every member's upcoming picks.
