Below you'll see the process step by step for the Lufft series of sensors as well as tips for troubleshooting and understanding model specific features.
Setup Instructions:
Connect a 12V power supply to the 3 pole Euroblock connector or 5V power supply to either of the USB ports.
Plug the 8 pole connection cable into the Lufft's DIN port.
Connect the other end of the cable directly to the Thiamis 1000's RS-485 port with a 3 pole Euroblock connector.
Note which sensor is connected to each letter port for configuring in Environet when Adding Sensors.
Errors
When the Lufft is not reporting, check the configuration page or hover over the red status indicator for more information.
Timeout
The Lufft has not responded to the requests made by the Thiamis and has timed out. It will continue to attempt request but you can run through the general Troubleshooting Sensors steps to address common problems.
Tips on Specific Models:
WS401/WS601
These models have more accurate built-in rain gauges vs the rain radar found on the WS400/WS600.
External Rain Gauge WTB100
If you're using the rain gauge make sure it's physically connected and use the UMB Config tool on a PC to confirm the 600s precipitation channels are available. See Lufft's video instructions. Also note the external temperature sensor and the external rain gauge use the same input, so only one of them can be connected simultaneously.
