To help you chose a method, please refer to the following technical information in the next section. We have also included a simple process flow which may assist your decision.

Sending emails with this method is our best method. It includes all the best practice security protocols and tools using Amazon AWS including supporting sending over SSL/TLS, DKIM and facilitating DMARC.

Emails from systems setup with this method will be sent from the users/system email address (as configured) and the replies will be sent to the original sender.

This gives the best user experience for your users and candidates because emails are sent as the actual email address and the replies are also received to the same.

There are two options within AWS – London (Option 1A) and Ireland (Option 1B).

Which option you decide to use will depend on your own policies and preferences. Each option offers the same security features and benefits with the difference being the physical location of the data centre (i.e. London (UK) or Ireland).

Sending emails with this method is an ideal option if you do not want Eploy to spoof your emails unless sending via your own servers. It also has the benefit of eliminating many security issues without additional configuration.

Any of your own existing IT protocols and policies (such as DKIM and DMARC) will apply as they are set on your own internal mail servers. Eploy in effect ‘passes’ the email to your mail server to send. You will not need to whitelist Eploy’s mail servers as they will be sent through your own mail servers.

Emails from systems setup with this method will be sent from the users/system email address (as configured) and the replies will be sent to the original sender.

This method is a ‘fall back’ option if your IT policies do not permit adding DNS text entries and SPF records. It is a simple but effective solution if you cannot work with options 1 or 2 and are happy with emails being sent from an eploymail.co.uk email address. The email address will be formed from your Eploy system name.

There is no setup required by the customer for this option and it contains all the relevant security features from Amazon AWS.

Emails from systems setup to use this method will be sent from an eploymail.co.uk email address and the replies will be sent to the original sender.

It does give a reduced user experience as the receiver sees the email coming from an Email address that is not your company email address format. We would only recommend setting this option up as a last resort if you cannot work with one of the other options.

This is an enhancement of Option 3. If you have restricted IT security policies that do not permit adding DNS text entries and SPF Records but do not wish to have emails sent from an eploymail.co.uk email address, then this method can be set up to send emails from a single email address from an alternate domain.

Emails from systems set up to use this method will be sent from a generic email address (see the example below) and the replies will be sent to the original sender.
