Interview Walkthrough for Candidates

This is a short step by step guide on how to join your live interview with Equitas

This is a short step-by-step guide on how to join your interview as a candidate when using the Equitas interview platform.

Note our platform is optimised for Safari when using Apple devices and Chrome for all other devices.

  1. Receiving an invitation

    Firstly, you should receive an invite email that tells you:
    ​

    1. Name of the company that you are interviewing with

    2. Role that you have applied for

    3. Date of the interview

    4. Time of the interview

      Please make sures to click on the button below to either confirm or decline the invite:

      πŸ’‘ If the date and/or time of the interview does not suit and you would like to reschedule, please reply to the email invite sent to you to ask the recruiter about a possibility to reschedule

    Once you have confirmed your interview, you will receive a second email with the interview information and two important links: Test your Device (please see below) and Join My Interview (this will take you to the virtual interview room)


2. Testing your device ahead of time

We strongly recommend that you test your device and internet speed to make sure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the interview.


Please walk through the test process and make sure to address any errors before the scheduled interview time - for example, if your browser is not supported, try updating the browser; or if the network connection is poor, try switching to a more stable network.


3. Attending the interview

On the day of the interview just click the red "Join My Interview" button at the bottom of your invite email.

This will take you to a screen letting you know the role you are interviewing for and who the interviewers will be. You will also have to consent for the audio to be recorded and transcribed to text.

Once you have consented you will be able to test to make sure your microphone and camera are working and that you have a strong internet connection.

πŸ’‘Do not worry if the button is greyed out and says "Waiting". The room will only open once the interviewers have entered the room. At this stage the button will change to a blue "Knock" button. When you are ready you can click on that button and join the interviewers and begin the interview.

When you join the interview you should be able to see the interviewer or multiple interviewers if it is a panel interview.


4. Getting help with technical issues

Finally, if you need any live technical support you just need to click on the blue speech bubble in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and click "Start a conversation"
