Dispatch a Sales Order

Manage and deliver your orders seamlessly

Updated over 2 months ago

With the Order Dispatch screen, you can manage & deliver your orders seamlessly.

Get Started

When you have picked your equipment on the order and you're ready to schedule your delivery, simply select Dispatch.

If needed, update the Delivery Date and/or Delivery Method, then click Accept Dispatch to finalize the step.

To streamline the delivery process, use the Book Out option as a shortcut.
This feature allows you to quickly confirm and process deliveries without going through the dispatch workflow. For more info check Processing an Order.

Once you have accepted the dispatch, this will display a delivery note ready for your driver to get either a digital signature on the road or print it and get a signed copy.

There is an option within a user role which allows you to decide whether the Delivery Note appears to screen when you mark items as Dispatched - it might be handy for the document to appear at that point, in order to e-mail it or get a customer signature.

However if you don't need it to do appear at this point and you want to preview / get it signed off later when you decide, you can reprint it from the Order > Movements tab or from the Movements menu.

When the goods are ready to be dropped off, go to Movements. The Dispatch tile will be displayed and ready for confirmation.

If the delivery method involves a courier, this step confirms that the goods have been delivered. If you're using your own transport, your driver can confirm the delivery directly through this screen.

Note: if you need to cancel or re-arrange delivery then you can click the Cancel link or Edit the Delivery Date on the order item within the movement.

If your driver is digitally signing to finalise the delivery, simply select Print which will reprint the delivery note ready to be signed. Select sign in the top right-hand corner to be taken to the Order Dispatch screen to capture a signature and name, make any item adjustments and attach any pictures or documents.

Once you have selected sign, the order item will automatically update to a Delivered status.

Note: If you are manually signing, you can select Confirm under Movement and this will also mark the order items as delivered. This will also print a delivery note that can be disregarded if there is a manually signed document already.

For further insight into your current dispatches then the dashboard has views which show the jobs to be delivered for today or this week, or you can even create your own custom views if you wanted deeper control.
