Frequently Asked Questions:
What if Eve gets something wrong? What if I don’t like Eve’s answer?
If Eve gives you an answer that is in any way insufficient, we encourage you to correct and iterate. Just like a junior staff member that presented work, you’ll correct, and give new direction to complete the task better. Tell Eve directly what was incorrect, or what you’d like to see differently and ask again. If possible, try to ask your question in a different way (see below how to optimize your prompts/questions).
Of course, if something looks completely off, please let your support team know and we will assist you directly.
Should I work through all parts of my case in one matter?
Where possible, use individual sessions for individual tasks with Eve. This will keep Eve focused on the work-at-hand, and give you the best answers. For example: if you worked with Eve to create a case overview (asking questions and iterating), and now want to create a case strategy, we recommend you open a new project, give Eve the case overview as a document to review, and then work to brainstorm your case strategy and next steps.
How much can I upload?

What is a playbook and what are instructions, and how do I use them?
Instructions and Playbooks are two types of “Skills” that Eve knows how to do.
Instructions provide Eve with high level instructions about the tasks you are working on, and how Eve should perform your work. When you’re laying out the overview of your matter: what you want to accomplish, how you want to do it, you’ll use Instructions.
Here are some examples of what can and should be included in Instructions:
Details about a firm and type of law:
I work at an Employment Law firm that represents Plaintiffs…
Details about how the user would like Eve to respond:
Please make sure to respond in a detailed and comprehensive legal tone…
Details about a case the user is working on:
Here are the details about my client's case:…
Playbooks can be thought of as the pre-saved sequences of commands to send to Eve to help work on different parts of the overarching Task. When you’re having Eve execute a process: do this, then do this, you’ll use Playbooks.
Here are some examples of what can and should be included in Playbooks:
Asking Eve to draft a specific type of document:
Please draft a legal correspondence to opposing counsel…
Asking Eve to summarize a document in a certain way:
Please summarize this piece of case law. Make sure to include the following sections…
Asking Eve to brainstorm interrogatories:
Please come up with a list of special interrogatories based on this complaint…
