Sync

Click on each of the sync options :

Sync Room Types

All Room Types from Mews will be added to Event Temple.

To avoid confusion, please ensure that any previously entered Room Types in Event Temple that are not synced with Mews are removed. In order to do that, please follow these steps.

Sync Rates

All Rates from Mews will be added to Event Temple in order for you to select from them.

Link & Sync Non-Synced Groups
Link any and all Groups in our system (that aren’t already linked) to Mews

  • It matches the Group Code (Event Temple) to the External Identifier (Mews)

  • It skips duplicates

  • If the Group's Booking doesn’t have a Contact or Account set yet, it sets it based on what the Group has in Mews

  • Group data will be overwritten with whatever is in Mews

If your Availability Blocks in Mews do not have External Identifiers set, they will not sync to Event Temple using this option. An External Identifier must be set when the Availability Block is created in Mews and cannot be added/edited after the Availability Block is made.

Important Considerations

Accommodation Service

The Accommodation Service is the service in Mews that reservations should be made under. If you are unsure which Accommodation Service to select, please confirm with Mews & update it accordingly in Event Temple.

Tax Mappings

Taxes must be set up in Event Temple & Mews prior to mapping them. Menu Items can only be posted to Mews if their tax is mapped. Service Fees and Service Fee Excluded Taxes are not supported

Revenue Category Mapping

Revenue Categories must be set up in Event Temple & Mews prior to mapping them. To ensure proper reporting in Mews, it's important that the Revenue Category is set for any Menu Item sent from Event Temple to Mews. We recommend that you create your Revenue Categories in Event Temple based on the Accounting Categories you have set up in Mews.

Currency

Sending charges to Mews and creating reservations from Event Temple will not work if the currency of your Event Temple organization does not match the currency of your enterprise in Mews. In order to change your currency in Event Temple, please follow the steps outlined here.

Allow Invalid Rates

This is only for Organizations using Reservations. These settings give Admins the ability to control whether users have the flexibility to override how Mews rates are configured when adding reservations. There's a tickbox labeled "Allow invalid rates" when adding a new reservation:

Default Value - specify whether the tickbox is checked/unchecked by default

Display - controls whether the tickbox is visible or not.
