Mews Account Sync

Learn how to sync Accounts & differentiate them in Event Temple

Accounts in Event Temple can be synced with Mews Companies.

In Mews, Companies are shared across all properties in a chain. In order to sync accounts with Companies in Mews you must enable Global Accounts & Contacts for your chain in Event Temple. Please reach out to our friendly support team if you are unsure whether this is turned on.

Sync Settings

Within your PMS Settings, there are two values to select.

Default value for Create on PMS tickbox - choose whether the tickbox is selected (Yes) or unselected (No)

Display Create on PMS tickbox - choose whether to show the tickbox when creating a new Contact or Account. If the tickbox is hidden, then Account and Contact sync will be based on your 'create on pms' selection.


Sync Overview

Sync

  • All Accounts created in ET are created in Mews

  • All Accounts created in Mews are created in ET

  • Updates to an Account in either system are synced

Synced Fields

  • Account Name

  • Tax Number

  • IATA Number

  • External id


How to Sync Accounts to Mews

Sync a New Event Temple Account to Mews

Depending on the previously described default settings, you may have the option to choose whether or not to create the Company in Mews

Sync an Existing Event Temple Account to Mews

From the Account Summary Page

  1. Click Link to Mews

  2. Enter the Account Name

  3. Click Search

    1. If an existing Mews Company is found select it from the search results & click Link

    2. If an existing Mews Company is not found Click Create


Synced Accounts

Synced Accounts will appear with a green check mark next to them

On the Account List, use the Sync Status Filter if you would like to see specific results


Groups & Reservations

Whether you are using Mews Group Sync, or Mews Reservations, the Account will automatically be set in Mews using the Booking's Account.

Important Considerations

  • Accounts are not used for posting charges as charges are posted under a Contact.

  • Please have an admin user reach out to our friendly support team to enable this feature on your Organization.
