Budgets in Event Temple allow businesses to set sales goals.

These budgets can be applied to Events including Revenue Categories.

Budgets are normally set by month and done at the beginning of the year.

How to Set a Budget

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Organization

  3. Click Budgets

  4. Choose whether you want to set a budget for Catering (Meetings/Events) or Groups

  5. Choose the year

  6. Update your monthly budget

  7. Click Save Budget

How to report on Budgets

Budgets are used for reporting purposes inside of Event Temple to see how you are tracking according to your goals. Most typically, Budgets are used in our Catering or Group Pace Report.

To produce Pace reports:

  1. Click on Reports

  2. Choose the report you need

    1. Catering Pace

    2. Group Pace

  3. Change filters if needed

  4. Click the "Export as" drop-down

  5. Select the format to view the Report

    The report will compare actual sales activity to the budgeted activity as well as the previous year's performance​

Important Considerations about Budgets

  • Currently, budgets can only be set for the Calendar year.

  • Each Revenue Category will appear in the Catering Pace Report separately.
