Budgets

Budgets in Event Temple help you track performance against your organization's sales goals. Set monthly revenue targets for both Catering and Group (Rooms) business, then compare actual results to your budget and prior-year performance using Pace Reports.

How Budgets Work

Budgets can be configured for:

  • Catering budgets by Revenue Category (for example, Catering Revenue)

  • Group budgets by Market Segment (for example, Groups)

Once configured, budgets are used in the following reports:


Setting a Budget

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Select Organization.

  3. Click Budgets.

  4. Choose the budget type:

    • Catering

    • Groups

  5. Select the desired year.

  6. Enter or update the monthly budget amounts.

  7. Click Save Budget.


Reporting on Budgets

  1. Navigate to Reports.

  2. Open one of the following reports:

    • Catering Pace

    • Group Pace

  3. Adjust report filters as needed.

  4. Click Export As.

  5. Select your preferred format to view or export the report.

The report compares:

  • Actual performance

  • Budgeted performance

  • Previous year's performance

This allows you to quickly assess whether your business is on track to meet its goals.


Important Considerations

  • Budgets can currently only be configured on a calendar-year basis (January–December).

  • Each Revenue Category appears as a separate line item in the Catering Pace Report.

  • Changes to budgets are reflected in Pace Reports immediately after saving.
