The attendee information form is a valuable tool for your events, enabling you to collect necessary information from your attendees. This feature allows you to require attendees to complete the form before purchasing a ticket.

There are various ways to set up your attendee information form. One approach is to display a question only if the attendee's response makes it relevant.

For example, if you're organizing a race event, you may only want to ask for the crew name if attendees respond "Yes" to the question "Do you have a crew member?"

Similarly, if you're providing food and want to accommodate allergies, you can choose to display the field "What food are you allergic to?" only if attendees indicate "Yes" to the question "Do you have food allergies?"

Here's how to configure attendee information fields based on specific conditions:

1. Go to the event and click on "Event Settings."

2. On the Event Settings page, navigate to the "Attendee Information" tab.

3. Now scroll down to "Attendee Information Fields" and click on "Add Custom Field."

This will bring you to a window to set the attendee question.

4. In the pop-up window, set the attendee question as follows:

  • Type: Dropdown

  • Label: the question that you would like to ask your customer, in this case let’s use the question “With a crew member?

  • Dropdown options is the answer that they can choose from. We’ll put the options Yes and No. You will need to add one per line.

  • The “The attendee is required to complete this field” should be checked.

5. Once you’re done click on "Save." You will now see this question added.

Now we will be setting the question that will only show if the customer responded "Yes" to the question "With a crew member?"

  • Click on "Add Custom Field" again.

  • Type: Text

  • Label: "What's your crew member's name?"

  • Now put a check on the "The attendee is required to complete this field" and "Show this field only under certain conditions." Once you have put a check on "Show this field only under certain conditions" the option When this field will show.

6. Choose the question "With a crew member" on the dropdown since the answer to this question will determine if this field will show or not.

7. And then on the second field choose "is any of"on the dropdown. The available options will show only "Yes" or "No."

8. Put a check on "Yes."

9. Once done, hit "Save."

Now, when a customer purchases a ticket, they will see the appropriate questions based on their response. For example, if they choose "No" to having a crew member, the question for the crew member's name will not appear.

If they change their response to "Yes", the question will then be displayed.

Please note that you can ask more specific questions and provide more options to the answer, you are not limited to Yes or No.
