What is a ticket type and how do I add different ticket variants?

You may wonder how to add different types or variants to your event tickets. For example, you might want to add a general admission ticket as well as a VIP ticket and set different prices for each ticket variant. The Ticket Types setting will help you with that!

Basically, a ticket type is a variant of your event ticket. It’s the same as a Shopify product variant.

To add different ticket variants, head over to your event and follow the steps below:

  1. Click the "Event settings" button at the upper-right corner of the event page in the app

  2. Click the "Tickets" tab.

  3. In the "Ticket Types" section, click "Add ticket type."

  4. Type in the name of the variant, e.g., “VIP” and feel free to configure the price, inventory, and other settings

  5. Click Save.

Feel free to repeat the steps above to add more ticket variants!

Adding a ticket type through the Evey app will automatically create a variant in the Shopify store. Alternatively, you may also add a ticket variant through the Shopify store admin’s product page and it will automatically create a ticket type in the Evey app.
