How Does Billing Work with Evey?

Updated this week

Have questions about billing? This article answers the most common ones so you can better understand how charges work with Evey Events & Tickets (Evey).

What Charges Should I Expect?

Evey offers several plans to match your event needs. If none of the plans work for you, please contact us, and we’ll help you find the right solution.

Lite Plan

Cost: No monthly subscription + $1 per attendee ticket

Best For:

  • Basic ticketing needs

  • Custom web, PDF, and Apple Wallet tickets

  • Notification templates

Excludes:

  • Attendee messages and reminders

  • Recurring events

  • Reserved seating

  • Mailchimp integration

Standard Plan

Cost: $49/month + $0.50 per attendee ticket

Best For:

  • Most users

  • Includes check-in

  • Attendee messages

  • Recurring events

  • Additional features

Professional Plan

Cost: $189/month + $0.25 per attendee ticket

Best For:

  • High ticket volumes

  • Reserved seating

  • POS and Klaviyo integrations

Do Charges Stop After My Event Ends?

No. Charges do not stop automatically.
Per Shopify policy, you must manually cancel your subscription in the app to avoid further charges. Until canceled, the app remains active, and billing will continue.

What If I Don’t Have Events This Month?

  • All plans include unlimited events

  • Monthly fees apply even if you don’t run an event

  • Per-ticket fees only apply when tickets are created, processed, or sold

How Are Per-Ticket Fees Calculated?

The per-ticket fee applies to every ticket created, including:

  • Tickets processed on your Shopify storefront

  • Manually created tickets

  • Tickets created through CSV imports

  • Tickets created via integrations

Note: Group ticket types that generate multiple tickets count as multiple charges.

Are Refunded or Canceled Tickets Still Charged?

Yes. Even if a ticket is refunded or canceled, the per-ticket fee still applies. These fees are not reimbursed.

What About Free Tickets?

  • Lite Plan:
Merchants on the Lite plan will be charged a ticket fee for free tickets regardless of whether the ticket was purchased or manually added.

  • Standard and Pro Plans:

    • Manually Added Free Tickets: No ticket fees are applied if the ticket value is set to $0 and the attendee is manually added.

    • Purchased Free Tickets: Free tickets purchased through the storefront will still incur a ticket fee.

Summary:
The only scenario where no ticket fee is charged is when the merchant is on the Standard or Pro plan, the ticket price is $0, and the attendee is manually added.
