You can manually add attendees or issue complimentary (free, $0) tickets for special guests directly from your event dashboard.
This method is helpful when you need to provide free access without triggering any ticket processing fees.
⚠️ Note: Only tickets that are manually added and set to a price of $0 are exempt from ticket processing fees.
If a manually added ticket has a price above $0, or if the ticket is purchased through your Shopify storefront (even if listed as free), standard ticket fees will still apply.
When offering free tickets, please make sure that:
Your store is on a paid Evey plan
The ticket price is set to $0
All attendees are added manually

Add a Complimentary Attendee to Your Event
Click on the event you want to manage.
Click on “Attendees.”
Click on “Add attendee” in the upper right-hand corner.
Fill in the attendee’s information, including name, contact details, and ticket type.
Click “Save.” The ticket will be emailed automatically to the attendee.
