An offer connects your campaign URL to your AI agent so Exerta sends the right link and replies to the right people. This guide covers how to create an offer and what each field does.
š” Why use this?
Before your agent can send a link or use the right product knowledge, it needs an offer set up. Without one, you can't create an agent.
ā Before you start
Have your campaign URL ready (required)
Information about your product (not required)
š§ How to create an offer
Click Engage in the left sidebar
Click Offers
Click + Add Offer in the top right corner
Fill in the fields, see the field reference below
Click Submit
You're done when the offer appears in your offers list and is available to attach to a rule or agent.
š Field reference
Field | What to put in it |
Name | An internal label for this offer. Not visible to your audience. Example: Weight Loss - US |
Description | Internal notes: which campaign, platform, traffic source, etc. |
Target URL | The link your agent will send when someone is interested. Must match the URL in your ad exactly, including path segments like /uk or /au. You can also add URLs with UTM parameters. |
AI Context | The product knowledge for this offer. It's not required but helpful to have. |
Keywords | Used to rotate short links. Each keyword is one option that can be cycled through. Maximum 6 words per keyword. Your Exerta team will advise on these. |
ā ļø Target URL must match exactly. Exerta matches offers to campaigns based on the full URL path. If your URL is yoursite.com/uk, entering yoursite.com without /uk will cause the agent to send the wrong link.
ā FAQs
š Q: My agent is sending the wrong link. What's wrong?
A: If your agent is sending the wrong link, it's almost always because the offer hasn't been set up correctly or hasn't been set up at all. When Exerta can't match the campaign to an offer, it falls back to your default offer.
Check these things:
Offer exists: Confirm there's an offer set up for this campaign in Engage > Offers
Target URL matches exactly: The URL in the offer must match the URL in your ad exactly, including any path segments like /uk or /au
š Q: Do I need a separate offer for each country or region?
A: Yes. If your links use country or region variations, each one needs its own offer. Exerta matches offers based on the full URL path.
yoursite.com/uk and yoursite.com/au are treated as different URLs
Each needs a separate offer with the correct Target URL
UTM parameters (anything after ?) do not affect matching and can be left out
š Q: What happens if I go live without an AI Context set up?
A: If no AI Context is attached to your offer, the agent will still respond, but it may send the wrong link and won't have accurate product details for your campaign. Always make sure your Exerta team has set up the AI Context before a campaign goes live.
š Q: Can one offer be used across multiple rules?
A: Yes, an offer can be attached to multiple rules.
š Q: I don't have product context, can I create an offer?
A: Yes, only URLs are required to create an offer.
