📋 Note: ReEngage is now Exerta. We're still using the ReEngage name in our code, URLs, and dashboard while we finish updating everything, so all the snippets below still say "ReEngage." Nothing to change on your end.
Clickflare is an ad tracker used to track and optimize Facebook ad campaigns. This guide walks you through connecting it to Exerta.
💡 Why use this?
Connecting Clickflare to Exerta lets your Facebook clicks and conversions get tracked on both platforms, so you can see exactly which campaigns and creatives are actually driving results.
It's also helpful to set up because:
It measures agent performance revenue-wise, so our team can suggest and implement improvements for your agents along the way
It helps the AI learn which comments and DMs are driving sales, so it can double down on what works
✅ Before you start
A few things to have ready before you begin:
Clickflare access: You need permission to create or edit traffic sources and campaigns in your Clickflare account
Admin access to your Exerta dashboard: You'll need this to get the postback link in Step 1
Check which tokens are already in use: If your Facebook traffic source in Clickflare already has other parameters set up, check which tokens ({trackingField1} through {trackingField20}) are taken before you get to Step 2. That way you're not stuck picking a token, saving, and finding out it collided with something else already using it.
🔧 How to set it up
Step 1: Get your Exerta postback link
Go to reengage.ai/dashboard/setup
Click Other Platform
Copy the Reporting Link
This link is unique to your account. You'll swap out a few placeholders in it in Step 2, so keep it handy.
Step 2: Set up a Facebook traffic source in Clickflare
Add the Exerta Id parameter
In Clickflare, create a traffic source from the Facebook template, or open an existing Facebook traffic source
Click Add Parameter
Fill in:
Name: Reengage Id
TS Parameter: reid
TS Token: {reid}
📋 Note: If you're using the default Clickflare Facebook template, your token for this parameter is usually {trackingField9}. If that one's already in use, pick any available token from {trackingField1} through {trackingField20} instead. Whichever token you choose, remember it - you'll need it in the next step. This guide uses {trackingField9} as an example.
Add the Exerta postback URL
Scroll down to the Passing conversion info to traffic source section
Switch on Traffic source postback URL
Paste the Exerta postback link you copied in Step 1
Replace the Exerta placeholders in the link with the matching Clickflare ones:
{replace_click_id}→{trackingField9}(or whichever token you chose above){replace_conversion_value}→{payout}{replace_currency}→{payout_currency}
Click Save Traffic Source
⚠️ Important: The token in your postback URL must be the same token you set on the Exerta Id parameter in the step above. If they don't match, Exerta can't link a conversion back to the click that generated it.
Get your Clickflare Campaign URL
Use this traffic source in a Clickflare campaign for your Exerta traffic
Double-click the campaign and click Copy Url
You'll paste this into Exerta in Step 3.
Step 3: Set your Exerta offer target URL
Go to reengage.ai/meta/offers
Open the offer you're setting up, or create a new one
Paste the Clickflare Campaign URL from Step 2 into the Target Url field
Save the offer
You're done when: your offer routes through Clickflare before landing on Exerta, so every click and conversion gets tracked on both platforms.
❓ FAQs
🔍 Q: Where do I find my Exerta postback link?
A: Go to reengage.ai/dashboard/setup and click Other Platform, then copy the Reporting Link. This link is unique to your account.
📋 Q: Which Clickflare token should I use for the Exerta Id parameter?
A: If you're on the default Clickflare Facebook template, {trackingField9} is usually the one to use. If it's already taken, use any available token from {trackingField1} through {trackingField20}. Just make sure the token in your postback URL matches the token you set on the Exerta Id parameter.
🔍 Q: What do I need to change before pasting the postback link into Clickflare?
A: Replace the Exerta placeholders with Clickflare's: {replace_click_id} becomes your chosen token (like {trackingField9}), {replace_conversion_value} becomes {payout}, and {replace_currency} becomes {payout_currency}.
⚠️ Q: I'm not seeing conversions come through in Exerta. What should I check?
A: Check three things first. Does the token in your Clickflare postback URL match the token on your Exerta Id parameter? Is the Traffic source postback URL switch actually turned on? And is your Exerta offer's Target Url set to the Clickflare Campaign URL, not a raw Facebook link? If all three check out and conversions still aren't showing up, contact support.
📋 Q: Can I use the same Clickflare traffic source for traffic other than Exerta?
A: This guide assumes a dedicated Facebook traffic source for Exerta traffic. If you mix other traffic into the same source, make sure the Exerta Id parameter and postback stay limited to campaigns actually running through Exerta, so unrelated clicks don't get tagged with a reid.
