Exporting Historical Data from Infor POS
Exporting Historical Data from Infor POS
Updated this week

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to export your historical data from your Infor POS Server/PC to Expressway. Follow these steps for each month’s date range over the past twelve months.

Please note: While the start and end date selections allow for choosing more than one month at a time, the export process must be run one month at a time to ensure the successful transmission of all data. The process will take between 4 and 6 minutes per month, so you’ll need about an hour of focused attention. Please do not quit or leave in the middle of exporting a month’s range! This could result in reporting inaccuracies.

If you encounter any issues, please open an online support request with the Expressway Helpdesk for assistance.

  1. Log in to the Infor POS Server PC using a store manager account.

  2. Click the SmartWorkNet icon (purple-colored).

  3. Select the IXpress Export button.

  4. In the “CSV – Re-Run Existing Files” dialog box, set the Start Date and End Date for the first month’s range:

    • For example, if you're exporting January data, select Start Date: 01/01/XXXX and End Date: 01/31/XXXX.

    • Click OK after selecting the dates.

  5. When the export is finished, a "Files Created Successfully" dialog box will appear—click OK.

  6. After clicking OK, a new dialog box titled “SmartSeries TLo...” will appear.

  7. Adjust the default date range (set to "yesterday") to match the first month's range you just entered.

  8. Click the Export button to begin exporting data for that month.

  9. When the export is finished, a "Files Created Successfully" dialog box will appear—click OK.

  10. Important: After receiving confirmation the files were created successfully, do not attempt another month from the SmartSeries TLog screenclick Close in the “SmartSeries TLo...” dialog box before attempting another month.

  11. After the dialog is closed, repeat the steps above, starting with Step 1, for each remaining month, adjusting the Start Date and End Date accordingly for each month's range.

Warning: Be sure to complete Step 10 and close the TLog dialog before starting another month. If you leave the dialog open and attempt another action within it, the files may not send correctly.
