An overview of the Employee Totals report

Updated over 2 months ago

The Employee Totals report (found under Store Reports) provides insights into metrics like refunds, voids, discounts, and sales, summarized by employee for a selected date range. This report is a powerful tool for monitoring staff performance and identifying trends.

Report Overview

The report is divided into two sections:

  1. Graph Section: Displays the selected metric over time.

    • Use this to identify trends or patterns in employee activity.

    • Filter for a specific employee using the Employee Selection Menu, located with the selection menus above the graph.

  2. Totals Table: Summarizes employee totals for the selected metric.

    • The displayed columns depend on the selected metric.

For example, if Refunds is selected, the table shows:

  • Refund Quantity

  • Refunds on Cash Tickets

  • Total Refund Amount

  • Flagged (tickets flagged for excessive “Duration”).

Understanding the “Flagged” Metric

  • Flagged: Indicates tickets flagged for excessive “Duration.”

  • Duration: A measure of time between when a ticket is first modified and when it is last modified.

  • Any ticket with a duration over 15 minutes is considered excessive and flagged for further review.

Drilling Down into Employee Data

Clicking on an employee row in the totals table reveals a detailed breakdown of refunded tickets for that employee. This detailed table includes:

  • Ticket Opened: The timestamp for when the ticket was first created.

  • Closed By: The employee who closed the ticket.

  • Ticket Duration: The time between the first and last modification of the ticket.

  • Refund Amount: The total refund for the ticket.

Color-Coded Duration:

  • 0–15 minutes: Black

  • 15–30 minutes: Yellow

  • 30+ minutes: Red

This color-coding allows for quick identification of tickets with excessive durations.

Viewing Ticket Details

To view more information about a specific ticket, click on its row in the table. The Ticket Detail view includes:

  • Comprehensive transaction details

  • An option to print the ticket for further review or discussion

The Employee Totals report helps you monitor key metrics, identify trends, and review specific transactions, making it an invaluable tool for maintaining oversight and addressing issues as needed.
