Slack is where your program manager posts updates and where you connect with the other externs in your cohort. Here's how to get in.
Subscription externships (app.extern.com)
When you start your subscription, you will receive an onboarding email with the Slack invitation.
Sign up or sign in with the same email address you use for your Extern account.
Once you're in, go to the search bar, type #, and look for your program-specific channel (it follows the pattern #companyname-programname).
Click Join Channel and say hi to your cohort.
A company name in your program title (for example TikTok, Amazon or Wayfair) doesn't change this. If you use app.extern.com, the link above is the one to use.
If Slack says you don't have an account, or the link won't open
Sign out of any other Slack workspaces, then open the link in an incognito/private browser window.
Make sure you're using the same email you use for Extern.
Still stuck? Reply to support@extern.com with your full name, your program name and the email you registered with, and we'll send you a new invitation.
Company-sponsored and partner programs
Some partner programs use their own Slack workspace or channel. If that's you, your program manager or Extern Support will send you a direct invitation. Reach out to support@extern.com with your program name if you haven't received it.
