If you received a stipend, your tax information was collected through Trolley, the payment platform Extern uses for stipends. Trolley uses that information for end-of-year tax reporting, such as the 1042-S form.
1. Check your Extern account
Log in to the student portal and look for your year-end tax form in the payments section.
2. Can't get into the student portal?
If you no longer have access to the email address you used (for example, a college email that has been closed), email support@extern.com. Include:
Your full name
The email address you used for your stipend
The tax year and the form you need (for example, 1042-S for 2025)
Our team will send you a copy of the form.
