Welcome to Factofly!

In this guide, we have compiled some of the most essential information you need as a new user.

  1. Complete your profile

Before we can pay out your money, you need to fill in your profile information. You can do this under "my profile."

Here, you will also select which tax card we should use (primary tax card or secondary tax card). We will use your CPR number to retrieve your information from the tax authorities (Skat) so we can pay out your money as a salary.

2. Create your customer(s)

Under "customers," you can create your customer. The information you enter here you can automatically transferred later when creating an invoice.

If your customer wants to receive the invoice electronically, you can add an EAN number. If the field is left blank, we will simply send the invoice to the specified email address.

Under "customers," you can also get an overview of all the invoices sent to your customer.

3. Create a task

If you haven't started your work yet, you have the option to create a task. When you create a task where the work has not yet begun, we will make sure to insure you during the work. You can read more about our insurance policies here.

If you have already completed your work, you can skip directly to step 4.

4. Send an invoice

When you need to send an invoice, you have the option to enter the information manually or transfer it directly from a previously created task. If you transfer from a task in the system, you are still able to make changes to the information.

You can send multiple invoices per task, for example, if your customer wants to split the payment into two bills.

Your invoice will always be reviewed by our accountant before we send it to your customer. This way, we ensure that all necessary information is in place before your customer receives the invoice.

After sending your first invoice, you will receive a contract from us. This contract needs to be signed with MitID to verify you as a user.

5. Processing & payment

Depending on what you have specified on the invoice, your customer has a certain number of payment days to pay the invoice. If the payment deadline is exceeded, your invoice status will change - read more here. We send a friendly reminder about the missing payment on day 7 and 14 after the last payment day. This only happens if you have selected "automatic reminders."

Once we have received your money from your customer, it takes about 2 working days before you have the funds in your account. We take care of all the tedious administration regarding reporting to the tax authorities (SKAT) & VAT, labor market contributions (AM-bidrag), and vacation pay. Therefore, you will receive your money as a salary payment from Factofly.
