Once you've reached 100% on a Level, here's how to get your certification confirmed.

Updated over a year ago

As a Diversity VC member, once you've reached 100% in a level, it's time to get certified!

Diversity VC will need to review some supporting evidence, please send the documents listed below to members@diversity.vc with the subject line [Certification Review] and they'll be in touch to arrange your certification call.

Documents for Level 1+ certification

These are some of the documents required to reach 100% in Level 1, please include them as evidence when going for certification (screenshots and/or PDF exports are great):

  • Accessibility policy including how to get accommodations

  • Code of conduct

  • Guidance given to employees on what to do if discrimination or harassment occurs

  • Anonymous complaint instructions for employees

  • Onboarding sample such as an internal process doc or employee welcome pack

  • Hiring process/instructions so people running hiring apply a consistent approach

  • Rating scale criteria example for deal flow assessment

  • Code of conduct & anti-harassment template provided to portfolio companies

These policies and processes do need to be written down to count. Informal, undocumented processes widen the gap between the traditional majority and everyone else which is harmful to equality and inclusion even when it's well-intentioned.
