How are my survey answers used to help our company?

Your participation in the Fair HQ employee survey can help your employer understand D&I at your company. Here's how!

Updated over a week ago

You might be wondering why your participation in the employee survey is so important. How will your employer see that data? And what will they do with it?

What insights will my company see?

We'll soon be presenting your company with detailed insights reports, demonstrating how they score across their policies, behaviours and your inclusion experience.

🔒 It's important to note that your answers and demographic data are completely anonymised. We never share individual answers ("raw data") with your employer; they don't even know who did and didn't complete the survey!

👥 Plus, our reporting group minimum is 5, meaning that at least 5 people from a (demographic) group need to have completed the survey to display any data.

Example company dashboard

What will my company see at a high level?

We present an aggregate of all scores, broken down by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. At a glance, your company can see which areas they're doing well in, and which areas need some attention. Your survey answers directly feed into all three of these areas.

Which groups are represented at our company?

We present the company make up in a graph like this one - only showing groups where more than 5 people who participated in the survey reported this information to us. Understanding the company make-up helps your company to consider everyone.

Do any groups score lower on inclusion experience?

We use graphs like this one to identify gaps between how different demographic groups experience inclusion. Identifying which groups score lower on specific dimensions of inclusion, like belonging or fairness, helps give your employer an understanding of what areas they need to focus on improving.

Are there differences in inclusion experiences between departments?

In some cases, we will report the inclusion experience by department, job level and even location. In this example, the employer can see that the Sales team are not feeling as included as Product, and can take the necessary steps to lessen that gap and improve the experience for everyone. Again, this information is only available if there are more than 5 people in that group participating in the survey.

Next Steps

As you can see, your input really helps create a lot of insight for your company.

From here, we'll work with your team to identify key priorities for the coming months and provide them with evidence-based recommendations to improve in these areas.

As an example, we might learn that women feel less comfortable approaching their managers with issues than men. Or that the Sales team don't feel they have the same access to learning opportunities as other teams. These important insights allow us to have conversations with your company and provide meaningful ways to embed change - so that everyone has the same experience when it comes to equality, diversity and inclusion.

A bit about Fair HQ...

If you haven’t heard of Fair HQ - we’re the first tech platform designed to help companies build a diverse and inclusive organisation through evidence, lots of data and behavioural science.

We do this by assessing the practices, processes and behaviours within the organisation that are impacting the level of diversity and inclusion within the business. Not only will your company be able to understand where they’re at, but we’ll also be supporting them with evidence-backed recommendations to help improve in these areas.

We're already working with some of your colleagues to assess the policies and practices at your business. And now we're interested to learn about your experience with these policies, along with your feelings of inclusion within the company.
