Activating Name to Face

First, you will need to enable the Name to Face feature in Famly. You'll find this in the Settings menu, under Safeguarding.

Giving staff permission to do Name to Face checks

Make sure that you also give your staff permission to do Name to Face. The relevant permission that should be activated is Manage Name to Face checks.

How do I create a Name to Face check?

Click on the Children icon, open up the Safeguarding tab, and click on Name to Face.

From here you can create a new Name to Face check by:

  • Clicking on New Name to Face to the top right-hand corner

  • Select the room, tag, or status for which you want to do a count (see the image below)

  • Now, you can check a child off the count, by clicking on their image. This will make the child disappear from the list. You can only save a count if all checked-in children in a given tag, room, or status have been counted.

You can also create a new Name to Face in the Room Overview

  • When you're in the room overview select the Name to Face icon. In the top right corner, you'll find it next to your room settings.

  • Choose the room, tag, and/or status you want to do a Name to Face for

  • Just as with the Face to Name done via the room overview, you mark a child as counted by clicking on their image. This will make the child disappear from the list. You can only save a Name to Face if all the checked-in children in a given tag, room, or status have been counted.

Where do I find a record of my Name to Face checks?

You can find records of your saved counts in the Safeguarding tab, via the Children icon, under Name to Face. You can filter the view by when the head count was done, by room, and by tag.
