How do fans get their tickets?

How fans purchase and receive their tickets.

Updated over a month ago

There are three types of tickets a fan can purchase on Fanbase: Standard, Season, Hospitality and Session.

Please expand the below sections to see a typical purchase journey for each.

Standard tickets (unallocated and allocated seating)

Fans can purchase tickets by visiting your Fanbase page, both in the browser and in the app, or by clicking the link you have shared.

The steps a fan then takes are:

1. Click 'Tickets' on the fixture of choice.

2. For unallocated, they select the area (Home, Away etc.) and then select the type (Adult, Concession etc.) then they select 'Next Step'.

2.b) For allocated seating, the fan clicks on the stand/area they want, this then zooms in for them to select an exact seat, once they click the desired seat, they are presented with the ticket types to choose from (Adult, concession etc.), once this is selected they click 'Checkout'.

3. Fans are then shown an order summary, with a breakdown of tickets selected and a total to pay, this is also where fans get the opportunity to enter a promo code, at the bottom of the screen. They then select 'Pay Now'.

4. For payment, fans are redirected to Stripe, our payment partners, where they can purchase by entering their card details or by clicking on Apple/Google pay.

Season tickets (unallocated and allocated seating)

Purchasing season tickets is largely the same flow as match tickets, these are:

1. The option to purchase season tickets will appear at the top of the 'Schedule' section of the app and browser at all times when the sale window is active, you can set it to appear at the top of the home page in your admin settings.

2. Once the fan clicks 'Purchase' on the season tickets for an unallocated purchase they are taken through to select the area they want (North Stand, West Stand etc.) then, once an area is selected, they can add their types (Adult, concession). Once they have the tickets selected they click 'Next Step'.

2.b) For allocated seating purchases, the fan clicks purchase on the season ticket, then they are presented with the seat map, they zoom in on the section they want and select the seat, they are then presented with the types (adult, concession etc.), once selected they click 'Checkout'.

3. Fans are then presented with an order summary, which shows how many tickets they have, the ticket types and how much the total is. They can also enter in the details on each ticket by clicking 'edit'. Then they click 'Pay £x Now'.

4. For payment, fans are redirected to Stripe, our payment partners, where they can purchase by entering their card details or by clicking on Apple/Google Pay. Fans can also purchase using Klarna, allowing them to spread payments out over 3 months, please contact the support team for more information.
