Creating and selling half-season tickets is a great way to boost revenue half way through the season and an opportunity to engage casual fans.
Setting up half-season tickets within Fanbase is similar to creating regular season tickets.
How to set up a half-season ticket
Create a half-season ticket sale window
On the main menu, select 'Tickets' then 'Season Tickets'
Select the 'Sale Windows' tab
Click the ‘Create sale window’ button.
You should now see a modal pop-up, where you can name your sale window and choose when you want them to be on sale.
[If you are using Allocated Seating then select your seating chart season]
Select the 'On sale from/to dates'
Switch on the 'Validity period' toggle and input the dates that you would like your half-season ticket to be Valid from/to. (Note that the dates are inclusive i.e. if it was valid until the 1st of December and there was a game that day the season ticket would be valid).
Toggle on 'On sale to fans' if you'd like to go on sale straight away.
Note: if you are not using Allocation Seating then you will also need to assign tickets for sale before tickets are available to purchase.
See 'Assign your half-season tickets for sale' below
Click 'Create sale window'
Create a season ticket attached to the half-season ticket sale window
Click 'Manage' next to the sale window you just created.
Select 'Create a season ticket' from the dropdown menu
Fill out the form to create your season ticket and click 'Save'
If you are using Allocated Seating then no further actions are required. If you aren't using Allocated Seating then you will need to assign a number of tickets for sale using the instructions below.
Assign your half-season tickets for sale
To put you tickets on sale you will need to:
Find your half season ticket sale window on the 'Sale Window' tab
Click 'Manage'
Click 'Assign tickets'
Add the number of tickets you'd like to assign and click 'Save'. (Note: if you are using allocated seating you don’t need to do this)
Now your half-season tickets are live! Simply click on the link icon beside 'Manage' and share the link to purchase on your social media channels.
What does the fan see?
Fans can purchase half-season tickets just like they do normal full-season tickets but there are a few key differences that improve the experience:
The fans can see the validity period throughout the purchasing flow, so they know exactly when they can use their tickets.
If the fan tries to view their season ticket in their Fanbase Wallet outside the validity period the QR code will appear blurred and unavailable to be used.
If you have printed that QR code and you try to scan it for a game that is outside the valid period, you will get a message saying the ticket is invalid.
