🧦 My slots overlap

Do you offer several workshops and want to add them to the same slot, even partially? Does that mean you have to run them together?

If you offer multiple workshop formats, you can place multiple slots in the same time slot and specify whether or not they can be combined, run at the same time. To add multiple slots at once, simply click 'Create +' on your calendar and select the workshops you wish to add. You can also click anywhere on your calendar on the time slot you want: the slot creation window will open.

I can't run more than one workshop at a time

By default, your workshops are not considered cumulative: we assume that you cannot run them at the same time. If you add overlapping slots, the first time you sign up for one of them, the other(s) will disappear. You can change this in your artisan back office, in the 'Manage my workshops' section.

If the slots overlap, you will see the words 'Overlapping workshops', as opposed to 'Cumulative workshops' if you cannot run them at the same time. If they don't start at the same time, they'll be displayed next to each other in the calendar, in staggered order. This allows you to keep things organised.

I can run multiple workshops at the same time

If you can run multiple workshops at the same time, you will need to set this up in your 'Manage My Workshops' section: these are known as 'cumulative' workshops. Customers will be able to sign up for each of the slots you have online at the same time. For this to work, the slots must overlap (they have to start at exactly the same time!). This setting allows you to maximise your chances of filling the slots: it's something you should try, as it can be profitable, stimulating and full of pleasant surprises.

💡 If your workshops are cumulative, the maximum of the two capacities does not add up! The lower capacity will take precedence over the other(s).

For example, if your workshop A has a maximum capacity of 3 people and your workshop B has a maximum capacity of 2 people, the maximum capacity for workshop B will take precedence if there are people registered for both slots. Here are the possible breakdowns in such a scenario:

  • 0 in Workshop A and 2 in Workshop B

  • 1 in Workshop A and 1 in Workshop B

  • 2 in Workshop A and 0 in Workshop B

  • 3 in Workshop A and 0 in Workshop B
