What is Milestone for?

Updated over a year ago

As a client, while you have your own homework tasks assigned to you, your lawyer and their team also have their set of tasks to handle your immigration cases effectively. These tasks are managed within the Task module in their portal, and they have the option to set them visible to you, allowing you to track the progress of your cases through the Milestone feature.

Milestone

Here's how the Milestone feature works:

  1. Task Module in Lawyer Portal

Your lawyer and their team utilize the Task module to list and manage all the tasks related to your immigration cases. These tasks are essential steps in the process of handling your cases efficiently.

  2. Visibility for Clients

Your lawyer has the option to make certain tasks visible to you in the Milestone feature. When they set a task as visible, it means you can view and monitor its progress.

  3. Milestone Overview

The Milestone provides an organized and sequential list of tasks that your lawyer is working on. These tasks are arranged by their due dates, giving you a clear understanding of the timeline and progress of your cases.

  4. Task Status

As your lawyer completes a task, the status of that task changes. Initially, tasks may be represented in blue, indicating they are in progress. When a task is completed, its color changes to green, signifying its successful completion.

  5. Client Progress Tracking

The Milestone feature helps you, as a client, understand the progress of your immigration cases based on the tasks your lawyer is handling. Seeing completed tasks in green gives you confidence that your cases are moving forward.

Having visibility into the Milestone feature allows you to stay informed about the work being done on your behalf. It fosters transparency and trust between you and your lawyer, as you can track the completion of essential tasks that contribute to the success of your immigration cases. The Milestone provides a valuable tool for both you and your lawyer to collaborate effectively throughout the process.
