🎬 [Placeholder] Quick Category Walkthrough Video
A 60-second overview on how to customise section categories in Feasly:
Rename, add, or delete tabs
Add or remove rows
Switch between rate types
Input amounts with or without GST
Use the Cashflow icon to sync locked values
🛠️ How Customisation Works
In each section (Land, Costs, Sales, Funding, etc.), you’ll find key categories to input your feasibility data. You can customise these to reflect your project structure and preferred workflow.
Each category may have a different interface, depending on the type of inputs required — for example, residential sales will look different to commercial sales.
🗂️ Rename, Add, or Delete Tabs
Tabs group line items — for example, separating DA costs from BA costs. Regardless of tab setup, all items will roll up to the category total.
Rename tabs to match your terminology
Add tabs to create new groupings
Delete unused tabs to keep things clean
Note: Some system tabs are locked and can’t be renamed or deleted — they’re essential for data flow into reports.
➕ Add or Remove Rows
Each tab contains rows for individual items — e.g. “Architect Fees”
Click Add Row to insert a new item
Use the delete icon to remove any row you don’t need
🔢 Choose Rate Type Inputs
Most sections include a Rate Type dropdown so you can choose how values are entered. Feasly calculates the final amount (Ex GST) automatically based on your selection.
$ Amount – e.g. $10,000
% of Sale Price – e.g. 3% of Lot Sale Price
🧮 GST Handling: Inc or Ex
You can input amounts inclusive or exclusive of GST.
Enter values inclusive or exclusive of GST — whichever is easier.
Feasly will always convert to Ex GST behind the scenes for reporting consistency.
This ensures internal calculations remain accurate, even when supplier quotes or invoices differ in format.
🔒 Use the Cashflow Sync Icon
Click the Cashflow icon on a row to set a known date — this will sync the item into your monthly project cashflow.
For a quick preliminary feasibility, you can also leave the Start Date blank and set dates later using the span tools directly in Cashflow
