Step 1: Customize Your Product Table View
Navigate to the Products screen.
Click the Columns button at the top right of the table.
In the search bar, type Google Product Categories.
Check the box next to Google Product Categories.
Click Save to add this column to your product table.
Step 2: Select Products to Categorize
Use the checkboxes on the left side of the table to select the products you want to categorize.
Click the Bulk Edit button in the action bar.
Step 3: Assign a Product Category
In the Bulk Edit modal, locate the Google Product Categories field.
Click into the field to open the category selector.
Use the scroll or search feature to find the appropriate category.
Example:
Clothing & Accessories > Clothing > DressesClick Save to apply the selected category to all selected products.
FAQ / Troubleshooting
Q: Why do I see “Google Product Categories” instead of “Microsoft Product Categories”?
A: Microsoft Shopping uses the same taxonomy structure as Google, which is why this field appears under that name.
Q: Can I undo a category assignment?
A: Yes. Simply use Bulk Edit again and select a new category or clear the existing one.
Q: What if I don’t see the column after saving?
A: Refresh the page or ensure that you clicked "Save" after checking the column option.
