Managing a Time Slot: How to Edit or Delete a Time Slot Within an Existing Schedule

FOR EXPERIENCE MAKERS: Change start times, capacity, or remove a recurring time slot within a Schedule.

A Time Slot is a specific recurring start time within a Schedule (e.g. the 8 AM slot of a Schedule that also has a 2 PM slot, or the only time slot of a single-session Schedule).

You may want to edit (change) or remove a Time Slot for an Experience across a range of dates, or for the entire Schedule. This can be useful when responding to seasonality, changing availability, or other factors.

Unlike Removing Blocks of Availability (Deleting a Schedule) — which removes all Time Slots across a range of dates — this process lets you edit or delete just one Time Slot at a time, leaving the others in the Schedule untouched.

Identifying a Time Slot you want to change or delete

  1. Open the Booking Calendar and select the Experience.

  2. Beneath the My Experience tile, you'll see the View Calendar tile. This is where you can select a date range whose entries you'd like to see in more detail.

  3. Select the range of dates you'd like to view.

    • You can generally leave the Start time filter set to Any time. Only filter by Start time if you have very distinct morning and afternoon Time Slots and want to narrow the view.

  4. Click My Schedule.

  5. On the right-hand side of the window, all the entries available during this range of dates will be displayed.

Pick one of the entries with the Time Slot start time you want to edit or delete, then follow the relevant steps below.

Editing a Time Slot

Use Edit Time Slot when you want to change the start and end times, capacity, or number of simultaneous sessions for a recurring Time Slot across a range of dates.

  1. From the entry you identified above, click the three dots on the right of the entry to open the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Edit Time Slot.

  3. Choose the range of dates you'd like to edit — for example, you may want to edit the start time of an experience in the winter months to start an hour later. Confirm you've selected the right range of dates by checking the planning horizon shown at the bottom of the box, which displays the range your change will apply to.

  4. Edit the start and end times manually, keeping in mind the duration of the Experience.

  5. You can also change the capacity (number of guests) or increase the number of simultaneous sessions you can host at once — for example, if you're using a different vehicle in winter, or an additional guide joins you for a specific date range.

  6. When you're confident with your edits, click Submit.

Why can't I edit only certain days of the week?

By design, an edit to a Time Slot applies across every day it runs within the selected range. A Time Slot is defined by its start time, capacity, and session count — if those varied by weekday, it would be more than one Time Slot.

If you do want different start times or capacity on different weekdays, see Adding Availability: Creating a Scheduleto set up a separate Schedule.

Deleting a Time Slot

Use Delete Time Slot when you want to remove all occurrences of a recurring Time Slot within a specific date range — for example, removing the 2 PM slot for the summer while keeping the 10 AM slot in place.

  1. From the entry you identified above, click the three dots to open the drop-down menu.

  2. Click Delete Time Slot.

  3. Specify which days of the week you want the deletion to apply to. By default, all days in your Schedule are included — click to select only the specific weekdays if you want to narrow it down (e.g. remove only Saturdays and Sundays within the range).

  4. Choose the date range for the deletion. Confirm you've selected the right range of dates by checking the planning horizon shown at the bottom of the box, which displays the range your deletion will apply to.

  5. When you're confident with the selected days of the week and date range, click Delete.

If any entries within the deleted range already have bookings, they will remain — those bookings must be honored.
