Referral Codes (Ref Codes) are a powerful feature in FEVO designed to streamline and enhance organizations' sales and marketing efforts. These unique codes serve as an efficient tool for attributing sales, offering significant benefits for Sales Managers and their teams.

Purpose of Referral Codes:

  • Simplified Event Management: Ref Codes allow Sales Managers to create a single event and offer, eliminating the need for multiple versions for different sales initiatives.

  • Effective Tracking: By attaching unique Ref Codes to URLs, Sales Managers can easily track the performance of various sales and marketing campaigns.

  • Enhanced Reporting: Integration with buyer reporting systems, specifically TM Archtics integrated clients, ensures detailed insights into sales patterns and campaign effectiveness.

Key Benefits:

  • Efficiency in Sales Processes: With the need to create only one event and one offer, Ref Codes significantly reduce the workload and complexity of managing multiple sales campaigns.

  • Precise Sales Attribution: Sales Managers can accurately attribute sales to specific campaigns or sales representatives, aiding in performance analysis and strategic planning.

  • Customized Tracking: Tailoring Ref Codes to specific campaigns or channels (like social media or email marketing) allows for more targeted and effective marketing strategies.

Hierarchy for Ref Code Attribution

Ref Code > Promo Code > Custom Questions at Checkout > Offer Owner > Offer Builder

Ex. If Salesperson #1 builds an Offer, but a buyer uses a Promo Code owned by Salesperson #2 when purchasing on that Offer, Salesperson #2's Rep ID would be assigned to that sale. But if the buyer first got to the Offer page through a link with a Ref Code owned by Salesperson #3, they would receive credit for that sale.

1. Referral Code Setup:

  • Access: Click the stack icon in the top left to open the full navigation menu and open the organizational tab.

  • Prerequisite: Only accessible to Sales Manager users.

2. Navigate to Sales Team & Referral Code Sub-tab:

Follow the navigation path to reach the specific section for Referral Codes within the Sales Team tab.

3. Create New Referral Code:

  • Action: Select the option to create a new referral code.

4. Set Up Referral Code:

  • Referral Code: Add the referral code (e.g., sales rep's name or initials like “ifreeman”). Keep it short for URL inclusion.

  • Account / Rep ID: Optionally, link the code to a specific sales rep for tracking. For TM Archtics integrated clients, this links to Archtics reporting.

  • Notes: Add details (e.g., campaign or medium-specific notes like "Facebook Campaigns for Military Night").

5. Adding Ref Code to URL:

6. Locating the Ref Code in the Buyer Report:

  • Tracking Sales: After adding the code to a URL, track sales attribution in the Buyer Report.

  • Accessing Report: Navigate to the offer linked with the referral code and download the Buyer Report from the top-right corner.

  • Finding Data: In the Buyer Report, go to the buyer tab and look for the “RefCode” column to see all orders made using the referral URLs.
