Summary

Create Work Orders according to season for your lawn and mosquito customers (spring, summer, fall) or your vacation home customers for general pest control in the off season (winter).

Key Points

  • Click the Create a new... button and select Work Order

  • On the Schedule tab, select the frequency Seasonal

  • Select the months of the service

  • Select the week of the month and day of the week you'll do the service

  • The week of the month and day of the week must match First Service Date

  • Ends After is Never, Fixed number or Date

  • Enter the Duration and Start Time

From the customer's location page, click the Create a new... button and select Work Order

On the Billing tab add the service description, adjust the price, if necessary, etc.

On the Schedule tab, select the tech.

Select the frequency Seasonal.

Select the months of the service, in this example the service will be between April and October.

Select the week of the service, in this example the service will be the first week every month. (If it's a weekly lawn service, for example, select first, second, third, fourth, and last.)

Select the day of the week, in this example the service will be on Wednesday.

The Select Day(s) must match First Service Date. Otherwise, you'll have two appointments the first month. In this example, April 1, 2020, is the first Wednesday.

Enter the Duration and Start Time

Click the Save button and you have a series created in that customer's Work Orders tab. This example shows a seasonal series starting on the April 1, 2020 and ending in October.

The system generates a year's worth of appointments. As the newest appointments are completed the system appends the end of the list with additional appointments so you never have to remember to create more services.

In this example, as services are completed in 2020, the system will append the series with new services going into 2021.

Suppose you want to create a seasonal Mosquito service between April and October to occur every 21 days. It might look something like this:
