Script Analysis

Learn how to make the most of the Script Analysis feature!

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Script Analysis tool helps you break down your script scene by scene using AI. Quickly generate detailed tags, like characters, makeup, and locations, edit or add your own, finalise character profiles, and access structured insights across Breakdown, Analysis, and Summary views.

  1. To get a full AI-powered analysis of a specific scene, click "Breakdown with AI". This will unlock detailed insights in the Breakdown, Analysis, and Summary sections.

  2. Each scene must be broken down individually to access a complete script analysis, including colour-coded tags like makeup, characters, location, and more. To view the tags detected by AI for a particular scene, click the chevron* (*arrow) next to the scene title. Tags are categories automatically identified by AI based on specific parts of your script.

Want to add more tags? Simply highlight the relevant text in the script, choose the appropriate category from the list, and it will be automatically added to the tag list. Don’t forget to click "Publish Changes" to make sure your updates are saved.

  3. You can also finalise character profiles on this page. Just click on a character's name and fill out the form. Once complete, click "Save". A green indicator will appear next to the character's name once it's completed. A yellow indicator means the character profile is still pending.

  4. Next, head to the Analysis section to see all the tags and categories - both those created by AI and the ones you added manually. These will be finalised once all scenes are broken down and changes are published.

  5. The Summary section provides a concise report for each scene, including a brief synopsis and a list of tags used. Remember that if a scene hasn’t been broken down with AI yet, its summary won’t be available. You’ll see a message that says "No scene summary available".

N.B.: In the Analysis section, you can use filters to quickly find the information you need, saving you time and effort.
