Overview: Tracking View

Using the Tracking View to identify where your assets are right now and where they've been.

Updated over a year ago

The Fleetpin V2 user interface is split into two main views: Tracking and Dashboard. You can quickly switch between these views using the buttons in the top navigation bar. The Tracking view is focused on showing you where your assets are right now, and where they’ve been.

The Map

The map in the tracking view visually displays the locations of your assets on a map that you can customise. The map is just like what you’d expect from other online maps such as Google Maps - click and drag to move the map around, double click to zoom in (or use the zoom buttons), and click on the asset markers to view that asset.

Map Options

On the bottom left of the map view is the ‘Map options’ button. Clicking this shows the map options where you can customise the style of the map between regular Google Maps, Satellite maps, terrain, Open Street Map, and LINZ maps. There are also options to enable/disable traffic information, NZTA traffic cameras, and LINZ property boundaries.

You can also choose which of your geofenced locations you want visible on the map by picking them from the ‘Location Groups’ menu.

Tip: Fleetpin looks great on a big-screen TV on the wall in your office, meeting room, or front-desk. You can use the Full Screen map button to hide the asset list and just show the map full-screen.

Tip: Need to quickly zoom the map to an address? Click on the Map Search button (top left), begin typing in the address, and click on a result to zoom the map to the address.
