Epicor API
You must support interaction with Epicor Kinetic via the REST API. When creating an Epicor connection in Fluent, you need to provide the following:
- URL
The base URL of your Epicor Kinetic instance (e.g., https://yourcompany.epicorsaas.com)
- Username
The Epicor user account username
An integration user should be created with a defined access scope.
This way, the password never expires, and security is managed through the access scope.
- Password
The Epicor user account password
- Company ID
The Epicor company identifier that matches your Epicor configuration
- API Key (Optional)
REST API key. When provided, the connection uses v2 authentication; when omitted, it uses v1
Connectivity and Troubleshooting
Your Epicor Kinetic API must be accessible over the internet. If you are operating behind a firewall, you must accept traffic from Fluent’s IP addresses specified below.
Here are some tips for troubleshooting outside connectivity:
1. Check DNS & Network Access
Check DNS resolution on dnschecker.org by navigating to https://dnschecker.org/#A/<your-hostname>
Verify the URL is accessible from your network
Check firewall or VPN settings
Ensure the server is running and accepting connections
You can run the following commands in a terminal:
nslookup <hostname>
ping <hostname>
curl -I https://<hostname>
2. Verify Credentials
Double-check username and password
Ensure the account has not expired or been locked
Verify the user has API access permissions in Epicor
Check that the Company ID matches your Epicor configuration
3. Check SSL Certificate
Ensure the SSL certificate is valid and not expired
Self-signed certificates are ok, but are discouraged
Security Requirements
When setting up the connection, ensure the Epicor user account has the appropriate
security permissions. You can view the full list of required Epicor security permissions from the "View Epicor security requirements" link in the connection setup form.
IP Addresses
If your organization enforces stricter network controls (e.g., IP allowlisting), you can
optionally allow traffic from Fluent’s outbound IP addresses to ensure connectivity with your Epicor Kinetic instance:
• 3.147.233.158
• 3.16.223.87
• 3.17.236.197
If your environment does not restrict inbound traffic by IP, no action is required.
