Parent & Child SKU Overview

Deeper dive into Parent & Child SKUs and how to review in the Product Catalog

Updated over 9 months ago

Let's dive into SKUs - all products are displayed in the individual product card found throughout Flywheel reflecting Merchant, Country, Title, Account, ASIN and SKU.

Within the Product Catalog, the primary SKU - in Amazon called the Parent and in Walmart the Base; will reflect how many child SKUs are associated to it at the merchant level.

Parent SKUs are hyperlinks to detailed pages of profitability graphs, event log details, COGS, and Brand and Competitor terms (see Intro to Product Settings for more information on what is visible and what you can edit here)

  • In this example; the Amazon US parent product has 7 child SKUs associated

From the Product Catalog, child SKUs are visible with the drop down from the parent. Aggregated metrics will roll up into the parent; and the breakout visible for each child.

Navigate through different metrics within the catalog to review details at the parent or child level. Find specific SKUs through the search bar by keyword, SKU or ASIN #.

Select timeframes using the top navigation for metric review - if you select the 'compare previous period'; changes in data by metric will appear for the same amount of time prior to selection

  • This means, if you select "past 7 days" in the timeframe; the selection in previous period will be the 7 days prior to the current selection
