W2 Employee Compensation

Updated over 7 months ago

Full-Time and Part-Time RDs are salaried, which means you'll be paid the same amount on a consistent basis

  • FT and PT Employees are paid via direct deposit every 15 days

You are also eligible to receive a Quarterly Bonus based on your performance as a dietitian. Details of the bonus are reviewed prior to signing a contract and will be shared on the first day of employment. The bonus is currently based upon meeting a minimum threshold for units billed monthly and then the RD is eligible for the bonus.

Bonus Considerations:

  • Bonuses are entirely dependent upon RD performance

  • Bonuses are paid within 30 days of the previous quarter (for example the Q2 bonus would be paid by Aug. 1)

  • Employees are eligible to receive the bonus only if they are employed by Foodsmart at the time the bonus is paid

  • The bonus structure is subject to change at any time; employees will be notified of any changes

What are the benefits for a full time employee?

Our health benefits begin on the first day of the month following your start date

  • For example, if you start February 13th, your benefits begin on March 1st

Benefits include:

  • Health

  • Dental

  • Vision

  • Short Term Disability

  • Long Term Disability

  • Life Insurance and other coverage

From Rippling, you'll designate your coverage and beneficiaries. Plan Summaries can be found in Additional Materials once you make your selections

What is the paid time off (PTO) for a full time and part time employee?

  • FT RDs are eligible for 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • PT RDs who work a minimum of 32 hours are eligible for 8 days of PTO

    • Time off is requested in Rippling and reviewed/approved by their manager

    • Time off should be requested as soon as possible; for any vacation greater than 1 week, please request time off at a minimum 1 month before the vacation

    • The RD is responsible for maintaining their availability in their schedule at all times--please freeze any slots that you intend to take PTO for as soon as you can

    • If appointments are booked during approved time off, it is your responsibility to call and reschedule the patient(s)

What are the Foodsmart Company Holidays?

There are 11 additional days that the RD won't be scheduled with patients.

  • New Year's Day

  • MLK

  • Presidents Day

  • Memorial Day

  • June 19th

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Indigenous Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Black Friday

  • Christmas Day

RDs have the option to schedule follow ups on the following company holidays (if that is preferred by the patient), but there is little to no support available on holidays.
