If you see an error message when trying to add a new student, it could be due to several different reasons. These potential errors are listed below, in addition to information about how to resolve them.
Your student limit has been reached
The FrenalyticsEDU plan you or your school is subscribed to determines the number of student profiles you can create. For example, if you have a Frenalytics Free account, you can create up to 10 student profiles.
To find out what FrenalyticsEDU plan you’re using, click “Plans and Billing” in the far left menu bar.
On the right side of the page, you’ll see a “CURRENT PLAN” section that displays the name of the plan you’re currently subscribed to:
To quickly upgrade your plan to allow more students, click on the link in the error message.
Only active student profiles count towards your limit, so be sure to regularly archive student profiles you no longer need. You can always restore them later (as long as you haven’t hit your student profile limit). To learn how to archive a student profile, visit this help center article.
You can also visit our pricing page to learn about our EDU Essential and EDU Extras plans, which allow additional student profiles to be created.
If you’re in a school subscribed to EDU Enterprise, reach out to Frenalytics Support to request a free limit increase.
The staff member who is trying to add a student doesn't have the required permissions
Administrators determine which permissions staff members have access to, and one permission is the ability to create students. Visit this article to learn more about permissions and how to resolve this issue.
Your school or district is rostering students
If your school or district is rostering students, new student accounts can not be created directly in Frenalytics. Instead, new student accounts must be created through rostering.
Error in create new student form
When adding a new student by creating a new student profile, staff members fill out information about the student, including their First Name, Last Name, Email, DOB, and Sex. Make sure that you entered the correct information for the two required name fields, and check whether any other fields were entered incorrectly.
Error in importing a class roster
The other method to create a new student is by importing a class roster, and it is possible that an error occurred during this process. Ensure that the roster you imported is in a .csv format, and that the additional requirements listed in the picture below are met.
