How do I get the creditor calls to stop?

Updated over 2 months ago

Creditor calls are common during the debt relief process, especially in the early stages while accounts are becoming eligible for settlement.

Clients are not obligated to speak with creditors. In many cases, speaking with creditors is not recommended because it can interfere with negotiations. Once a creditor confirms they can reach a client directly, they may continue contacting the client instead of working with a third party.

Creditors may also use pressure tactics, such as stating they do not work with debt settlement companies or offering to “work directly” with the client in an effort to collect a payment. Making payments or payment arrangements directly with creditors may impact the negotiation process.
