How TeleArms missions are scored

Updated over a week ago

TeleArms uses two separate scoring systems to track your performance: Lifetime Score and Player ELO Rating. Understanding both will help you maximize your rewards and improve your gameplay.

1. Lifetime Score

Your Lifetime Score is the total points you've accumulated across all your successful missions. It only goes up β€” failed missions earn zero points but will never reduce your Lifetime Score.

Points = Mission Difficulty Γ— Speed Bonus

Mission Difficulty - Missions are automatically rated based on how many players succeed or fail, so Mission Levels are actively changing. Harder missions are worth more points.

Mission levels go from Level 1 to 10:
Level 1 = Easiest
Level 10 = Hardest

This means the higher the level, the harder the mission and the more points you can earn.

Speed Bonus - Your completion time is compared to the top 3 fastest players on that mission.

  • Matching their speed = full points

  • Being much slower = up to 40% deduction

Example:

Player A

Player B

Completion time

5s (near record)

25s (much slower)

Mission Difficulty

15.08

15.08

Speed Bonus

0.94

0.60

Points earned

14.2 pts

9.0 pts

Same mission β€” Player A earns 58% more just for being faster!

πŸ’‘ Tip: There is no maximum score cap per mission. The score depends on how well you perform. Beat harder missions and get more points!

2. Player ELO Rating

Your Player ELO Rating measures your skill level, which is separate from your Lifetime Score. Think of it like a chess rating where every mission is a match between you and the mission itself.

  • Everyone starts at 1500 ELO

  • Succeed on a mission β†’ ELO goes up

  • Fail a mission β†’ ELO goes down

  • Harder mission success = bigger ELO gain

  • Failing easy missions = bigger ELO drop

  • Speed matters, so finishing faster gives a stronger win and bigger ELO gain

  • First ~15 missions move your ELO quickly, then it stabilizes

  • ELO is currently for skill rating only it does not affect your ranking or rewards

  • Future plans include using ELO for matchmaking, skill tiers, and gating harder missions

Can it go down?

Yes β€” failing drops it

No β€” only goes up

Playing more helps?

Only if you keep winning

Always β€” every success adds points

What happens if the bot malfunctions?

If the bot malfunctions and you have to quit:

  • Your Lifetime Score is NOT affected

  • Your ELO takes a small hit, but since ELO is currently for skill rating only, it won't impact your ranking or rewards
