You can complete XLeRobot missions using your keyboard. Follow the steps below to start a mission and control both the base and the arm.
Starting an XLeRobot Mission
On the left sidebar menu, click Live Control.
Under Robot Type, select XLeRobot.
Choose a mission and click Play Now.
Once the feed loads, press Enter on your keyboard to select keyboard controls.
The mission guide video will appear. Click Close at the lower left when you are ready.
Click Start mission to begin.

During the mission, you will move the robot, position the arm, and interact with objects based on the mission instructions shown in the guide video.
XLeRobot has two parts you control during the mission:
The base (body) for moving and positioning the robot
The arm for interacting with objects
Use the controls below as you drive and perform the mission steps.
Move and Position the Robot (Base Controls)
Use these keys to navigate the robot to the correct location.
⬆️Up Arrow – move forward
⬇️Down Arrow – move backward
⬅️Left Arrow – move left
➡️Right Arrow – move right
To adjust the robot’s orientation:
. – rotate left
/ – rotate right
Camera Look Controls
0 – look up
9 – look down
7 – look left
8 – look right
Control the Arm to Interact With Objects
Once the robot is in position, use the arm controls to complete the task.
Left Arm Movement
W – move forward
S – move backward
A – move left
D – move right
Right Arm Movement
U – move forward
J – move backward
H – move left
K – move right
Arm Tilt and Rotation
Left Arm
R – tilt arm forward
F – tilt arm backward
1 – rotate arm left
2 – rotate arm right
Right Arm
T – tilt arm forward
G – tilt arm backward
5 – rotate arm left
6 – rotate arm right
Gripper Controls
Left Gripper
Z – open
X – close
Right Gripper
B – open
N – close
Reset Arm Position
C – reset the left arm to its default position
P – reset the right arm to its default position
Complete the Mission
When you have finished the mission objectives, click Complete mission at the bottom of the screen.
After you submit, you will see:
Mission complete! We’re scoring your mission now. Check back soon to see how many points you earned.
Your mission results will update after scoring is finished. You can check the status in Mission History on your dashboard.
