Yes, you can still earn points even if you don’t fully complete the mission, as long as you performed actions that were relevant to the mission objective and you clicked the “Complete mission” button.
How Scoring Actually Works
Scoring only happens after you click “Complete mission.”
Clicking Complete mission tells the system to review your actions and score the mission
Closing the tab, refreshing the page, or exiting without clicking Complete mission may result in the mission not being scored, even if you performed relevant actions
What Still Earns Points
You can still earn points if:
You attempted the task described in the mission
Your actions were relevant to the mission objective
You clicked Complete mission
You do not need to successfully complete the objective to earn points.
Example: “Put a Block Into a Box”
If you:
Move the robot toward the block and the box
Position the gripper
Attempt to pick up the block but fail
Then click Complete mission
→ The mission is reviewed and may earn points based on your relevant actions.
If you perform the same actions but close the tab without clicking Complete mission:
→ The mission may not be scored, and you may earn no points.
Key Takeaway
Clicking Complete mission is required for scoring
Relevant actions determine whether points are awarded
Completing the mission objective gives higher scores, but failed attempts can still earn points
Leaving the mission without clicking Complete mission can result in zero points
